Is the Legal Intoxicating Hemp Market in Peril?

Originally aired: October 23rd

In mid-September, California Governor Gavin Newsom issued an emergency rule to ban the sale of hemp products that contain THC. The governor claimed the move was meant to “close loopholes” and keep “dangerous hemp and cannabis products” out of the hands of children.

Newsom’s emergency rule follows similar measures put forth by political leaders in other states and may signal that a major shift is underway in terms of how the public and state authorities relate to intoxicating hemp products.

In this on-demand Rootwurks webinar, you can hear Shawn Hauser, partner at the cannabis law firm Vicente LLP,  discuss the current state of the legal hemp market and what new hurdles hemp companies may face in the coming year.

About This Webinar

On October 23rd, we hosted Shawn Hauser, partner at the cannabis law firm Vicente LLP, for an in-depth discussion on the latest issues facing the legal hemp industry and how the political and regulatory environment surrounding hemp appears to be changing.
